Bank of useful ideas

About

So many Tasmanians have a great idea that would improve their community but often, they don’t feel that they have the capacity or confidence to make it happen.

The Bank of useful ideas can change that.

At Bank of us, we want to be more than a bank – we’re committed to reinvesting our profits to benefit our customers and the wider community. So we’ve created something unexpected – the Bank of useful ideas.

Instead of providing grants or sponsorships, the Bank of useful ideas will support ideas that specifically answer your community’s needs.

Stage One: Burnie opportunities workshop - Completed

A two-day, hands-on workshop was held in Burnie to work out the 5 top issues and opportunities impacting the region. These opportunities will be revealed on this website soon. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a success.

Stage Two: Collecting ideas

Once the opportunities have been revealed, it’s time to start gathering ideas – it might be a new business, a bold new initiative, or an event that fits the bill.

Stage Three: Bringing the ideas to life

This is the really exciting bit. We’ll provide real and practical help to get the best ideas off the ground including financial support up to $60,000 cash, a unique loan arrangement, mentoring, networking and more.
