Rosny Library StoryWalk

A series of permanent stands on the grass in the front of the library and on the path leading up to the Clarence City Council building. Each one of these stands would house a page from a children's picture book. This book could promote local authors, illustrators, and Tasmanian themes, and may even incorporate other local events in the Clarence municipality.
A StoryWalk would provide multiple benefits to the Rosny community. It is a free activity that focuses on literacy, reading and storytelling. It encourages a healthy outdoor lifestyle and family engagement within the local community. It will activate the spacious, well-tended grounds on which the library is situated. It is a free activity that families can do together any time, regardless of when the library is open. The proposed area for the trail is flat and accessible.

Bog Beautiful Community Mural

A paint by numbers mural project in which local residents are invited down to help paint the first layers of the design.

The project would be held at the Montague Bay public toilet block on a weekend. All ages and skill types are invited to be a part of it. The mural is finished to a high standard and will be added to the #Bog Beautiful toilet trail the artist is running all over Tasmania.

Public Toilets are an essential asset to travelling and enjoying areas around Tasmania however they are usually not the most beautiful of buildings. Painting such structures make them a feature of the area as well as being more welcoming. Creating community painting projects, the aim is to create buildings of wonder featuring local native flora and fauna species.

The project brings the community together to create something beautiful that will be in their area for years to come.

Sustainability Hub

Bayview Secondary College has a strong focus on being a sustainable, practical and community minded school. With this in mind, the school is fitting out an existing building as an educational Sustainability Hub centred around aquaculture, horticulture, and agriculture on the premises of Bayview Secondary College. This project will not only benefit Bayview students but also the wider community, including primary school and Year 11/12 students living in Clarence, as well as local groups and associations. Support from the Bank of useful ideas will help to purchase raw materials and then the hard work will be completed by students, teachers and a strong community network.
